Project Description – Since the site is located in an area with bunglows, the main concept was to provide the feel of an individual dwelling (bunglow) in a multi-level apartment building. The buidling has been designed with a mix of 2 type of floor plans – 1st & 4th floors with 4bhk flats on either side of a central core. The 2nd & 5th levels house duplexes with terrace gardens on all 3 sides of the unit, similar to a bunglow.
The 3rd & 6th floors form the upper levels of the duplexes. The large overhangs created by the 4bhk flats provide shading to the large glazed facades of the duplexes. Double height terrace gardens, double height living spaces, structural design solution, unique elevation & composition have contributed in the project winning a Jury Special Mention A.E.S.A. Award in 2009.
