The narrow, linear plot of land posed as a challenge with regards to the client’s need for high-end spacious apartments. After various iterations, the solution was achieved by designing units inclined at a 45 degree angle. This allowed not only larger interiors, but also bigger balconies providing better views, natural light and ventilation. The zig-zag façade also broke the other-wise monotonous surface, offering a welcome change from repetitive apartment designs.
Uncompromised amenities were provided by hollowing out apartments in-between for home theatres, multi-purpose halls and party spaces. A common terrace connecting the four buildings designed as a roof garden  becomes the recreational and gathering point for the young and old residents alike.
One of the biggest problems faced in cities like Pune is the lack of space for parking. Using technological innovations to advantage, K-52 is the one of the few high end residential project to use mechanical multi-level car parking.
Careful planning and creative solutions successfully responded to the design challenges, while providing the inhabitants a safe and healthy living environment.
